MPlib: The project, the library and the future

The first stage of the MPlib project has resulted in a library that can be used in for instance LuaTeX, and is also the core of the MetaPost program itself. This talk will present the current state of affairs, the conversion process (from pascal to c), and the interface. A roadmap towards MegaPost will be presented too.
